Tottenham Speakers Club is a fun, friendly public speaking club based in North London. We meet twice a month to practice and develop our public speaking skills and network, on thefirst and third Monday at 6.20pm for a 6.30pm start.
Our regular meetings are held at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre (BGAC), Town Hall Approach Road, Tottenham Green, N15 4RX. Near tube stations are Seven Sisters or Tottenham Hale station and 2 minutes walk from the Town Hall.
Why join a public speaking club?
There are lots of good reasons to join a club like Tottenham Speakers, but here are a few of the most popular:
* to overcome a fear of public speaking
* build confidence when presenting to an audience
* to prepare for a specific event such as a wedding speech or an important presentation
* develop effective communication and leadership skills that are valuable in many areas of life
It’s also a great way to meet new and interesting people – we’re a pretty sociable bunch! The North London community comes together to communicate, learn and have fun.
“We realize that the two most important factors in Toastmasters is Mentoring and Evaluations, there is no doubt that if these two are done well and there is a good Mentoring program, your club will be filled with spark plugs ready to fire upon request. Mentoring and evaluations create enthusiasm, and once you light that fire the only thing it needs is some kindling.”
